Support Fund Vrije Hogeschool
The goal is to provide discounts to students and participants in the programs of the Vrije Hogeschool who don’t have enough funds to cover the tuition themselves.
The Support Fund of the Vrije Hogeschool supports students and participants for whom program costs are a barrier. The support can be in the form of a tuition reduction, a financial contribution, or – in special cases – full tuition forgiveness.
Giving students & participants the chance to join in
An important part of the support goes to young people who take part in the Gap Year or Half-Gap Year. During this time, they get the space for self-exploration, art, philosophy, and meeting others. They discover who they are, where their talents lie, and which direction they want to take for their future. For some students, taking part isn’t financially straightforward. Thanks to the Fund, they can take this step too.

How you can contribute
- Share the story: help give more students and participants this opportunity.
- Contribute periodically: want to commit to the Support Fund of the Vrije Hogeschool for a longer time? Then you can opt for a regular donation. By donating for at least five years, you give the fund more continuity and allow us to support students and participants on an ongoing basis.
- o You set up a regular donation yourself through an agreement with the Iona Stichting. Unfortunately, direct debit is not possible; you set up a standing transfer yourself via your own bank.
- Download the regular donation agreement (in Dutch). After filling it in, you can email it to iona@iona.nl.
- Donate once: every contribution helps to support students and participants financially. You can fill in the donation form below for this.
- When you make a donation through the Iona Stichting, you can give permission to share your email with us. This way we know you’re a donor and can also thank you personally.
Please note: whether you get a tax deduction for a donation doesn’t depend on your nationality, but on whether they pay income tax in The Netherlands.
