Iona Loans
In addition to her contact with donors and projects, Iona regularly meets mission-driven entrepreneurs and organizations looking for working or investment capital. They may qualify for a social-purpose loan. After an initial exploration, a first assessment takes place. If this is positive, the organization receives an application form, followed by a second assessment. If this is also positive, a loan proposal is presented to the loan advisory committee. The board can then approve the loan, after which it is granted. Each year, Iona has at least two touchpoints to stay engaged with the entrepreneur or organization.
